Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – One-Day Course

Our one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is the ideal choice for individuals and workplaces with low-risk environments who need to meet the minimum legal first aid training requirements. It’s our most popular course, designed to equip participants with the essential skills to respond confidently to common workplace emergencies.

What You’ll Learn

Assessing the condition of a casualty

Performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

Responding to an unresponsive person

Managing choking and breathing difficulties

Treating minor injuries (cuts, burns and bleeding)

Practising basic hygiene in first aid

Understanding the roles and responsibilities of an appointed first aider, including legal obligations and effective response

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants receive a fully accredited certificate that is valid for three years. While the certificate remains valid for this period, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends an annual refresher to keep skills sharp.
